THANKS GUYS! Some bizarre production notes, the board this was mixed on was used to track Van Halen's 1st album and Ratt's hit "Round and round We tracked to 2"tape, then dropped it into protools and some mastering software. It was done live with no punch-ins except for the sax. who tracked after the rest of the band laid the basics. and some hand-claps and percussion. Lead guitar is a brand new strat with (older) Seymour Duncan vintage staggerd strat pickups, straight into a '64 Deluxe reverb volume on @ 4 (Jensen C12N) I hope this jumpstarts our album, we dug tracking at this little studio, and he gets good drum tones, we may just do basic tracks and take them into a home studio for laying down the other parts. I tend to pass on holiday covers with just a few exceptions, but this is most definitely one of them. I really like it! Oh so festive. |

Ivan, I have to admit, I put the disk on for a spin this morning before I read your post, I thought to myself that the Little drummer boy picking could have used a lot more verb, to get that big sound!
