In a better world where that would be a good thing.

i grabbed this one too and have only had a chance to listen to it once. it makes me happy inside because it brings their performances back to me.

Scored a couple of LPs pretty cheap, which was good since the SG101 high speed weekend left a Mack truck-sized hole in my wallet:

There's some talk about the Nobles album here.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Got a few albums on order/in transit, but ecstatic that this one came in the mail today!

definitely some cool stuff on this one.....

A couple of estate sale finds yesterday---
Turns out this "surf" album is actually a collection of renamed crime music repackaged in 1963 to exploit the surf craze. What ever happened to truth in advertising??
[image](http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/9287/001osz.jpg)

In the "not exactly surf" category . . .
Honestly, I only bought this other one for the cover. Good thing too, cause when I got home I found a different record inside. Then out of curiosity I did a little search and found out how rare (read:$$$) this album is! arrrgh!!

Bittersweet on both counts, but at 50 cents a piece, I can't complain.

haha my parents bought me that Wedges album when they decided to get me a gift from somewhere. Didn't know what they were getting but I'd be fooled as well.

The Shaggs are a really interesting listen too.

That Wedges album is pretty good. The exploito-cash in song titles are hilariously lame, but musically it's really solid.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

So I raided the Sundazed "garage sale" and got

Jerry Cole - Outer Limits
Jerry Cole - Surf Age
The Arrows - Cycledelic Sounds
Jan Davis - can't remember the title, left it in my car
The Knights - Hot Rod High
Tornadoes - The Swag/Rawhide 7"
plus Speedy West - Steel Guitar and Shake What You Got soul compilation
Everything else I already had!

AND ALSO IN THE MAIL TODAY, two 7"s from Eat Shit and Die records
Ramblin' Ambassadors - Pine Beetle Express
The James T. Kirks

Feelin' fine

These courtesy of our own CaptainSpringfield. (Thanks Warren) Also a couple of cool 45s: J&TNR Thunder Over Rincon/Stringer and The Beachwoods. If you are thinking about buying from him, do so. A good guy to deal with.

Yeah, Klas! You guys have created something special. I love the personas you and Jack have come up with - they're perfect. From the band names to the fonts used on the cover, the charachtures of each "band", and the song names - they encapsulate each side project so well - and well, the playing for each, what can I say - really nice!!!

Worth repeating - Y'all have really created something special here. Big Fan!

Highly Recommend anyone here thinking about it... less thinking, more clicking (as in click on over to dblcrown and click buy... http://www.doublecrownrecords.com/artists/thesurfites/). You'll be glad you did!

--I'm getting them out as fast as I can - the discs arrived Monday and I got a bunch of packages out Monday and Tuesday, but then we took a family vacation the rest of the week, so the shipments will resume today.

I scored these at a garage sale yesterday. $1.50 for the bunch!

I also got my "Surfites and Co." CD the other day. SurfR&BfuzzEcho-rama from the brothers (er, I mean the four bands Wink ) Klas, you are amazingly versatile to capture all those styles. I especially dig the Royal Vikings. I've been a fan since Big Pounder and always look forward to more!
