Not on my turntable... but I'd like to put a laserdisc on one some day. Just to see how the needle digs in. Or if the surface is so hard where it would just skate across the entire surface.

I had read about a turntable for records, where there is a laser instead of a needle. It said that it sounded better, especially for dirty records, it didn't see the debris, and or scratches and pops the same way a needle did.

I played some of the mellow tunes of it at the Tiki Event over the past weekend.
There are a few tunes on the cd that are a bit on the Heavy side, but the guitar is a tad overdriven for my taste for the song.

This @#$%&* album has gotten under my skin in a huge way. I think it's absolutely genius, and I really don't use that word lightly. The more I listen to it the more I love it - I simply can't get enough of it! Albums like these are why I love surf music so much - when it's good, it's @#$%% incredible! Mindblowing, even. The Bambis delivered beyond my wildest expectations. All hail Croatian surf music! Very Happy

Ivan if you look around there are some good quality downloads of the whole Garaza show they did.. Point of no return and dark wave sound sooo much better done live than on the album... it is an amazing cd though.. totally love it

I wanna play just like him when i grow up...

i love the B-M Like Ivan said it get's under your skin... He is right!! Razz

I've had a few listens and it is a glorious, magnificent album. It's very cinematic at times, like a sound track. The guitar tones surprised me at how fiery the leads have become, and the tones on the last song are so menacing and evil. A great atmospheric record!

Nice very nice...

So i'm told, The Bambi Molesters received a good review in the Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago. 5 star rating.

Here's the Sunday Times review - how freakin' awesome!!!

Nice review ivan.. Thanks for your time! A true shot in the arm of Surf instrumental music ... Very Happy

Thanks Ivan. I'm sorry my sg101 cookies seem to get changed so often i didn't notice your uploaded reviews. Wow! all British magazines too.

Finally got this album - it's quickly becoming one of my all time favorites. Amazing. Great tone too. I assume the guitar is a Jazzmaster - anyone know what amps they use?

From my ongoing interview with Dalibor: Dalibor played a Vox AC-30 (non top boost, early 60s) with a Fender reverb unit and Dinko played a Deluxe Reverb. Dalibor thinks he (Dalibor) also used a Super Reverb on a couple of tracks, too.

No Showman? What's Dalibor's live rig?

Genius album. I've been enjoying it immensely. The songwriting is superb and the guitar tones are ridiculously good.

I think mostly a Vox AC-30, and sometimes a Super Reverb or a Showman. It seems to me that the Showman has definitely taken a back seat in their band, but hopefully Dalibor can chime in and set the record straight.

Yeah, when I saw them about 5 years ago he was using a late model showman and the same 66 Jazzy as he always uses..

Interesting choices - there's a lot of tasty OD in these songs, so I guess it makes sense.
