Thanks Everybody.
Yes Brian the Convention will be 20 dollars.
If anyone thinks this is too much money.
Deke Dickerson's guitar geek fest is 45 in advance, and 50 at the door.
I don't think that 20 for 8 bands, and 2 hours of Jams is too much to ask.
I hope that doesn't keep people away.
I need to pay all of these bands some decent money.
especially since 6 of the 8 of them are traveling from far.
Europe even.

Jeff, I can't imagine anyone complaining about 20 clams for the show. That really isn't that much dough these days.

I know, but you'd be surprised.
some people are tight on money, and 20 seems crazy to them.

Oh, I know that, it is definitely tough times. But two people can't even see a regular movie or buy a dinner for $20. so, if you are looking to stretch your dollar, $20 for 10 hours of entertainment is a deal.

1 month away and counting.
can everybody who cares, please help spread the word.
especially the bands playing.
But if you know a surf fan, and they aren't on sg101.
can you please let them know about the event weekend.
thanks

there are 3 different motels next to Don's within walking distance.
Just North a tad.
and I think there may be a few that are south of Don's
in Sunset Beach, South of Admiralty way and North of Warner a ave.
of course there are some in Huntington Beach.
but they may pretty full, and raised price a bit, because of the surf contest at the HB pier that weekend.
you could also go inland just a bit,

Hey Jeff, you know if money is tight for some folks, you could always turn your front yard into a campground .

Heads Up !!!!
Free stuff comin your way.
This Monday there will be a contest for 2 free Tix to the SG101 convention.
Sean at Double Crown Records is the sponsor this year.
and he has givin me some trivia questions about Double Crown Records.
When I post the question, the first to answer correctly,
They will win 2 Tix to the 2010 SG101 convention. 40 dollar value.
(you cover travel and accommodations of course)
and there will be another trivia question for a Double Crown records release as the prize.
also there will be a few Trivia Questions at the convention itself too.
with Double Crown Releases as the prizes.
so be ready some time monday morning,
I will post a separate thread here in general discussion,
and I will post a link to the contest thread in this thread.
good luck.
also at the Convention there will be a G & L Guitar for raffle,
Generously Donated by SG101 member Colts Surfs from Seal Beach Ca.
I will post a Pic of it soon.
its a Beautiful Guitar, and I wish I could keep it.
Raffle Tix for it will only be able to be bought in person at the Convention,
and you must be there when the ticket is pulled at the end of the event.
Tix will 10 dollars each, and the proceeds will be divided amongst the bands playing this years SG101 convention.
Good luck on that too.
Thanks again to Sean at Double Crown Records,
and to SG101 member Colts Surf
you guys are too cool.

Now that we're less than a month away from the convention, the reality is starting to sink in! I'm super excited about this. I can't wait to see everyone again!

the reality of how close it was hit me last week.
and I am kinda nervous.
I put off some stuff too long.
and am running around like a chicken with my head cut off.
