Hey everyone, I started a thread afew days ago on Mosrite copys . THANK YOU all for the input. Ive done alot of research and am leaning tword the Hi flyer. Money is tight and Ive played one in the past and liked it...A phase 1 with the P90's....Has any one played or have the phase 3, with the humbuckers. I have a line on both the Phase 2 in sunburst or the phase 3 with humbuckers is a beutiful black...I want to do this right the first time, Any info will help....Thank you again for the info guys....Sidewalk surfer

most surf-players won't use humbuckers, so 2 might be a better choice, sound-wise

Hey Tiki101, Your so right, Its the small things you over look some times. Ive never owned a guitar with humbuckers. Ive only owned mustangs and jaguars and a few silvertones. Ive heard those p90's in the phase 2 ones were great sounding.......Thanks

I love the clear Univox humbuckers that is on most, Hi Flyers, and Rippers.The phase 3 was the best made of the Hi Flyers, some even had Aria high quality tuners. I know in Surf music humbuckers are looked down on, but the Univox humbuckers sound more like Jaguar pickups. When I plug my Univox with humbuckers into a good tube amp and play I get a great Jag tone, so I would vote for the phase 3. The only problem with the phase 4 was the lack of a whammy bar.
