My old band looks to be on the way out. Drummer's wife is having a baby in 4 months, and bassist got moved to 2nd shift and can't make practice. So, I'm looking to start a new project. Goal would be to have an emphasis on original material, with about 50 percent surf/instro numbers, and the other half vocal numbers.

Looking to start a 3 or 4 piece. I'm a pretty decent guitarist and singer, which is what I did in my old band. Looking for a drummer, bassist, another guitarist or multi-instrumentalist, and if you can sing and play, or are primarily a vocalist, that's cool too.

Likes: Man or Astroman?, Slacktone, Spaghetti Western stuff, Dick Dale, Nirvana, Link Wray, Mudhoney, Pixies, Ventures, Davie Allen, ACB-era Alice Cooper, T. Rex, Kinks, Beach Boys, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, the Cramps, Zep, Black Sabbath, Stooges, NY Dolls, 60s garage stuff, CCR, Ziggy Stardust-era Bowie.

Dislikes: Post-grunge (e.g. Nickelbak, Creed, Bush, Puddle of Mud etc), modern mainstream alt rock (Paramore, etc), Nu-Metal (Linkin Park, Disturbed), Emo. No offense, but if you're into that kind of music, I'm not interested in collaborating.

I live in Newport, don't have a practice space, but have a couple of spare loud amps (Fenders), and a crappy Phonic PA system.

No one?

Hey, it's a small state!

But we're densely populated!!! Very Happy

I'm close by, but not close enough I think...dang-it!
In Chatham, Cape Cod. Feel free to move on up!!!
