Not too long ago I thought I'd satisfied my Jazzmaster GAS when I picked up a fantastic Thinskin '59 JM. Well, I tend to not like sunburst finishes, but I thought that since it had the anodized guard that it was different enough that I could still love it. Well, I was kinda wrong. So I put black plastic parts on it because I thought that would freshen it up a bit. Well, wrong again. I think I am just unable to fall in love with any guitar in a sunburst finish. Don't know why, and it seems kinda superficial, but I just can't.
So, I've got a beautiful AVRI '59 Thinsking Jazzmaster in very good shape with the original case, candy, and COA with your choice of black or white plastic parts that I'm offering up in trade for another USA Jazzmaster in a custom color of some sort. Just anything other than sunburst. First choice would be an AVRI '62 Thinskin Jazzmaster in Daphne Blue, Fiesta Red, or Aztec Gold (or other custom color). Second choice would be a standard AVRI in a custom color (Surf Green would be fantastic!). Also, I WILL be keeping the Mastery unless what you're trading has a Mastery on it already. I love that damn thing! The only wear is on the body with a couple dings on the top, some wear on the arm contour and some on the back, but none that I could photograph.
I would also consider swapping bodies, as long as it is an AVRI or compatible with all the hardware and neck on an AVRI.
Again, I am ONLY interested in trading this for another American-made Fender Jazzmaster (or maybe a Jaguar), though I would also consider selling it for $1350 Shipped and Paypal'd inside the continental US.
The last two pictures below are from the previous owner and show it with the original plastic parts. The first few are of it right as it is now after swapping out for the black plastic parts.
