Nothing wrong with Suzy's. Thanks for putting all this together Jeff.
Is the Fender tour booked already?
I plan to attend everything, as long as some other work commitments don't move around and get in the way...

No the Fender Tour is not booked at all.
I need to ask all of the bands that are coming to town first.
Then, if that is a Huge group of people, 25 or so.
I need to tell Dave Wronski, and arrange for a 2nd group.
so I will post a sign up list for that soon,
keep an eye out.

Although Jeff, Lorenzo and I worked extensively with IMG World Media to make the SG101 Convention/HBISM Concert happen during the US Open the logistics were just too dynamic
Basically the sponsors could not justify adding one more entity to an overwhelmingly horrendous schedule with an already stretched budget
Though we are disappointed, all is not lost, IMG World Media has promised future endeavors with major fundraising support and great potential for HBISM and SG101
For instance when I mentioned HBISMs desperate need to finance Surfin Sundays at Pier Plaza it was met with a $2000 sponsorship for our July 18th show from IMG World Media
By merely mentioning IMG World Media and the US Open of Surfing being Corporate Sponsors of the July 18th show HBISM will receive $2000
This is only the beginning of what proposes to be a prosperous friendship with IMG World Media
You might say what does this have to do with the SG101 Convention? Since Jeff Bigtikidude successfully managed to put together the SG101 Convention 3 years ago it has been in the museums best interest to remain involved
I will be eternally grateful to Jeff, SG101, the Annual Convention and a host of talented band members from around the globe for breathing new life into our Surfin Sundays Summer Concert Series
Rest assured whatever support comes from the museums relationship with IMG World Media it will be passed along to SG101 in support and expansion of both entities
Stay stoked, dont fear the reverb and share the spirit
Long live surf music
See you at the convention!

I want to thank Linda, Lorenzo and Jeff for all the work they did trying to make the US Open gig happen. It was an absolute long shot, but they dug in deep and were able to find some receptive ears. I didn't work out, this year, but with such a strong team on our side, I'm sure something will happen in the future. You guys rock!

Extremely well-said, Ferenc - I fully second it!!! Our deep thanks to Linda, Lorenzo and Jeff, we were REALLY close! But it's great news about the continued association and hopefully future opportunities. Good luck with that!

Hear hear! (Or is it here, here???)
Strangely enough I got contacted by someone doing yet another documentary and wanted to attend the convention. And Jeff said he met someone else doing a documentary on surf music. I think there is some momentum being built up here.

It might be amusing if they would interview each other briefly and include the interviews in their separate documentaries in passing.

Hi you guys i am Steve Seagren the producer of one of the documentaries thats happening now on the surf music scene(the best one ). We are documenting the 3rd wave surf bands in la and we need a working title . right now we are just going by "untitled surf doc" thats kinda dull
if Brian is right and there is another doc in progress then we need a title and fast just so we can tell each other apart. So far all i can come up with is "Bikini Apocalypse" which has nothing to do with our film I just like way it sounds. Maybe some of you guys on this forum can help us come up with a title

Seagren's Seven.
But seriously, good luck with the title. Your idea isn't bad. Bikini Apocalypse may not tell anyone what the thing's about, but the males among them will probably check it out anyway.

Hi Steve! Looking forward to your documetary! Although cool, Bikini Apocalypse might be mistaken for a "Girl's Gone Wild" video. I think a good title would be "Surf Apocalypse: Land Locked and Lovin' it" since you don't have to be a surfer or even live near the water to play or enjoy the music.

If I recall correctly, there was a preview of a forthcoming surf documentary shown at the 1st SG101 convention.
Looked good, and I thought the release was pending. Whatever happened to that one?
