Posted on Mar 09 2010 12:18 PM Ok regarding the Jam at the convention. we are only going to have 1 hour. instead of 1 1/2 hours or 2. So I want the 8 to 10 songs in the Jam to be really cool, kinda obscure songs. Not just run of the mill surf hits. But.... That being said, Matt Quilter of the Reventlos is going to be doing his "Wave Machine" thing on Sun Evening 7 to 10 Aug. 8th, at Don the Beachcomber. It's Matt doing Live surf leads over backing tracks. But he wants people to get up and play rhythm and or Bass with him. He has 3 hours or more of standard tunes, and I am sure that Endless summer will be in there. I will post a list of all those songs sometime, so you can pick a few you want to do. hope this explains why I want the Jam at the convention to be a bit more special. — Jeff(bigtikidude) Top

It's Matt doing Live surf leads over backing tracks. But he wants people to get up and play rhythm and or Bass with him. I did a "Wave Machine" gig with Matt. I was supposed to "finger sync" on bass while Matt and a sax player played leads over the tracks, because the contract called for a trio. Matt was nice enough to let me play guitar with him instead-and even take a few leads. It was loads o' fun. Highly recommended. I WILL be there. Top
