Selling a Gibson Les Paul Faded Special in red. Gibson discontinued these a couple years ago, which is a shame because their one of the best tone-for-the-dollar guitars Gibson ever made. Now if you want a P90 Special you have cough up several thousand dollars for a Custom Shop or VOS model or hunt down one of these babies...
Mahogany body and neck, rosewood fretboard, classic LP Junior Double Cut body style. Snarly and fat P90s are juicy and fat, perfect for any rock or blues styles, and it even cleans up nicely when you want it to.
The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer in red with Gibsons faded treatment, which amounts to a light, tasteful relicing of the guitar. This one isn't as "reliced" as the TV Yellow one I've had, but the best thing about these guitars is how they feel - comfortable, intuitive and fluid all across the neck.
Guitar is in excellent condition and sounds tremendous. Functionally perfect with nice action and feel up and down the neck. Cosmetically in excellent condition, as well - some minor buckle rash on the back, which the faded finish hides very well, and two thumbwheel marks by the bridge.
Comes with a locking TKL hardshell case that's also in great shape, and will be well packed and fully insured.
Asking $725 plus shipping or best reasonable offer. Feel free to contact me with any questions and offers, or to request additional pictures, and thanks for looking!
Oh, and sorry for the grainy low-light pics. I'll try to grab some daylight ones this weekend for anyone interested.
