Right now, my favorite song is Hippo Hump by the Fathoms. I just can't help but tap my feet when I hear it. Anyone else have a favorite?

Red Sunrise- Space Cossacks Or any several songs off of Tsar Wars (Exolumina, Escape From Gulag 17, Jewel of Duende). Tsar Wars is one of the greatest albums ever made. |

That was one of the first songs I learned by ear. With a little help from Ivan on the fingerings he plays for the chorus, which I played the right notes for, but didn't quite sound the same. |

Tony, I agree. That is definitely my favorite song of theirs, and one of my favorite overall. I'm not sure how surfy it is though. Regardless, it remains great music. |

It's reverb-y and melodic. Good enough for me. —Science friction burns my fingers. |

All-time = The Crossfires - "Fiberglass Jungle." Could just as easily have been "Journey to the Stars" or the heavy, heavy, heavy version of "Yang Bu." Or "The Wedge." Or ... Current obsessions = The Sir Finks' "Mondragora," The Nobles' "Earthquake" & Satan's Pilgrims' "Colours of Yr Mynde" —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |

Wow, talk about a deceptively simple question. This is as hard as choosing a single favorite movie, book, or food. With a struggle... Interstellar Harddrive, Baha-Ree-Ba (either Trademarks or Laika), Spandito Bandito, High Tide, Let There Be Surf, Intruder, Journey To The Stars, Moment of Truth, Jersey Channel Islands. But if there's one I've loved from the first, listen to regularly, and never tire of, it's Jack The Ripper. Sure, we generally concede that Link isn't a surf artist, but the Ace people put this song on their _Birth of Surf _album for a reason. For me anyway, nothing else conjurs up 'the feeling' quite like this one. |

Deceptively simple and hard to answer. I love the first wave material but there's a lot of very good stuff since then as well. No matter what I gave as an answer I'd be certain to change it by tomorrow. —The artist formerly known as: Synchro When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar. |
