Fender Deluxe Zone Bass, or Fender Dimension 4 Bass? Any others I should look at, in and around the prices of the 2 Fenders mentioned?

why do I need a bass.

Both of the Fenders you mention look like nice active basses.

You might also consider The MusicMan SUB (@ $800) or the Fender Jaguar Bass (@ $700)...both of these also possess active electronics.

A swell passive bass is the MIJ Fender 1951 Precision (@$700)...or one of the other MIJ Fender basses: Jazz or Precision...

What would be the likelyhood of a Jaguar Bass actually being available at a music store...such as Guitar Center or Sam Ash? Thanks for mentioning Music Man, as well! If I was going to go with both Precision and Jazz, I'd go with Fenders, but since I want both on the same instrument, I'm willing to look at other options within that $630 (non-sunburst Zone Bass) to $700 range. Smile

I think that the Jaguar Bass should be available at the larger retailers...Guitar Center, Sam Ash...or even www.musiciansfriend.com
