Here's a topic everyone on here should be able to participate in without having tried ramen noodles... Hopefully it will also generate some interesting discussions about the albums.

In my case I'm not totally sure but I think my first surf music album was Pebbles vol. 4, which I got like 25 years ago.

I actually had some sort of 1st wave compilation in the mid-80's with The Trashmen, Surfaris, Chantays, etc., for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. I'll just say this:

Man or Astroman? Destroy all Astromen! was my first surf album.

The first surf instro track I had was "surfin cow"

Because Wipe Out! is a terrible song!

My first surf CD was Destroy all Astromen.

I actually got Destroy all Astromen! on vinyl. It is a great album, however I prefer "Project Infinity".

I don't think anyone here would object to it being a surf music album. It was my first Beach Boys record and among the first surf albums I got.

Surfin' with the Astronauts-in mono. I had several Ventures ablums before I got "Surfin'", but The Ventures aren't Surf.

Still among my absolute favorites.

My first was also Man or Astroman?

Picked up both at a garage sale when I was a kid -

No objection here! My first purchase was The Ventures A Go-Go. I found it at a thrift store and bought it for 99 cents hoping it would sound like Hawaii Five-0 music. Not exactly but I wasn't disappointed. I bought The Beach Boys Endless Summer right around the same time.

My first LP loaded with reverb drenched, SoCal stompin' tomfoolery was the LP comp BUSTIN' SURFBOARDS on Crescendo which contained "The Victor" by Dick Dale, "Yang Bu" by The Jesters and the instro "Surf Jam" by The Beach Boys. It was the mid-eighties and I was on my way to becoming an expert (wink, wink) on the genre.
