Having heard a US Vintage Collection American JM played next to an original 1962 Jazzmaster, there was no difference my ears could hear. |

Ahhh, Brian -- you called it! And to think, Eegah himself went on to play "Mr. Larsen" in Happy Gilmore. If anyone out there hasn't seen "Wild Guitar", go buy it now. It's friggin awesome. Tons of classic gear. And as for that ebay posting -- to get a Jazzmaster and a faded movie legend all for under ten grand, what a deal!!!! Like it says "own not only a piece of history but a killer old Jazzmaster" I slay me. ~B~ |

Did you play the AV and '62 or was it somebody else? You may not notice if it was somebody else. I know I can't always tell when it is somebody else but when I am playing I can sure tell. |

I played it & a professional player from a very well known bad played it. We agreed that they played, had the same feel & sounded the same. The original 62 felt very slightly heavier. |

I've played RIs along side my original '62 and the differences in sound and feel were negligible. I've felt bigger differences between two JMs of the same year. —There is Surf east of Sepulveda. |
