Ivan: Do you think that Brian Holden's patches sound like the Shads than the other ones? Actually, I find that my Boss DD3 sounds better and does more than the Zoom 508.

test different digital and analog unit/pedals, amps, guitars, strings, tubes, caps...

Anyone ever try the Yamaha Magicstomp 1 or 2 and if so, is it better than the Zoom 508 for Shads sounds?

Yes and yes. It's a great unit when programmed with the Sounds like the Shadows patches. I've been using that with my Shadows tribute band the Troubadours for years now.

Well, I'd prefer not to. Charlie clearly put a lot of work into those patches, and did a fantastic job - and isn't charging a lot of money for them. If you can buy it from him, you definitely should. If he doesn't sell them anymore, let me know and I'll be happy to help in that case.

No, he still does. Thanks, I totally understand. I have a guy in NZ that wants my Zoom 508 bad, been holding off selling it to him, but I think that the Magicstomp may just push me over the edge to sell it. I will receive it this week.
