By just looking at the playlist, it was easy to tell which songs were chosen by the Baron, haha! I also enjoyed listening to the interview. 4th pressing of Target Draculon already? That's really impressive!

I was wondering how much Rob Zombie paid the Ghastly Ones for their contribution on "Halloween " ? I was also wondering what the song writing experience with Rob was like.In other words did the Ghastly Ones come up with the music first,or did Rob come up with the words, and melody first. I always thought Ghastly Ones, and Rob Zombie should have done a whole album together.I've been telling people this for well over a decade now,and most people agree with the idea.

Reverb, It's A Way Of Life!

Brandonio, we got paid zero. That song was originally an instrumental we wrote called Tombstone Twist. When we got asked to contribute a song for the comp for Rob to record, I added lyrics to it but Rob changed them to his. Garrett and I really weren't that happy with what Rob did to the song to tell you the truth. Since we wrote the music we re-recorded recently as it was originally intended. It's the fourth song on our new EP GEARS AND GHOULFINKS called Ghoulfink Stomp.

Glad you're enjoying the podcast, guys!

Klas, I figured you might be able to tell which songs I picked since we seem to have virtually the same taste!

Hope everyone has a fun Halloween today!

Norm, how did you decide what songs to re-record for Unearthed???

A good question, but perhaps post it to a new thread.

Thanks for all the kind words and support from Lady Reverb and myself. Please pass on this podcast to all your friends, the more listeners the better for surf music.

Danny, thanks for posting this on Facebook!!! I've had some theme music to go with my day so far.

Almost finished with it, great set list! This has been the best part of my Halloween for sure... loved the interview, Norm & Warren!

Thanks again Danny and Lady Reverb for your enthusiatic support and for your spooky contributions to the song list as well! I thought I'd go ahead and answer Staredge's question since it's a brief answer and not worthy of it's own thread.... We picked the songs for Unearthed based on what out-of print stuff best represented our band, and we were doing live at the time.

Now turn down the lights and listen in if you haven't already... it's Halloween and time to get spooky!

Glad everyone's digging this one - thanks for the kind words, and especially big swami bows to Danny, Adrienne and Norm.

... just as a precaution, don't expect #11 to be done two weeks from now. Laughing

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.
