I feel ashamed to admit it, but the Halloween episode is the first one I've ever listened to.
And I'm kinda bummed cause man have I been missing out.
Yeah same here, I just got into this great program an episode ago. It would be awesome if RFB were on iTunes or Stitcher radio though, probably mentioned before, but it makes it really convenient for us iphone/ipod owners.
Morph,
Just add a manual podcast subscription (through the iTunes Advanced tab) using the RFB RSS feed URL:
http://www.bangcartoon.com/podcasts/spahnranch/spahnranch.xml
You'll be good to go. That's how I fetch 'em with iTunes.

Attention iPod owners!
"A podcast I want to subscribe to isn't available in the iTunes Store!
It's easy to subscribe to any podcast using iTunes, even ones that aren't available in the iTunes Store. To subscribe, find and copy the podcast's feed URL. In the "Advanced" menu, select "Subscribe to Podcast" and paste the feed URL into the dialog box."
Now, you're wondering what the feed URL is, aintcha? Lucky fer you, ol' Whorehay is here to hep.

Ryan, looks like we had the same thought at the same time. Let's not do that again. ;)
Thanks man!

Thanks guys- I never really sync with the iTunes desktop client though (not using Linux 100% of the time anyhow), unless I need to re-jailbreak my phone every few months. For the SG101 podcasts, I usually just go to the iTunes app on the iphone, download it over wifi, then just get in the car and blast it. (I also tried loading the show in Safari, but it doesn't like the plugin. Bummer.) I think there are apps available that let you subscribe to RSS audio feeds, I might look into that.

That was an awesome song selection! The Moontrekkers have some great guitar sounds. I'll have to give it another listen, because I think it was the songs from the Hypnomen and 50 Foot Combo that really pricked up my ears. Had to wince pretty hard to make it through Necrobella's scream, too. (I had on headphones)

Thanks Nor Cal Hodad, those 2 were my picks.
I know that Norm likes to play older stuff,
but I wanted to go with a real spooky vibe in the stuff I played,
and sometimes modern bands do have some cool tunes too.

Glad you enjoyed the show and hope the scream didn't mess you up too much! Necrobella didn't scream on the day, that was Whorehay's little Halloween prank to add it in from the other show we did... thanks alot, Whorehay! All in good fun, though. Happy Halloween, folks!

Same here. . . perfect "background" music. Agreed with Norman about "Haunted House of Rock"--a modern classic of the genre. Great show, guys (and ghoul).
Sonics, Wailers and The Ventures all from Tacoma? Kind of makes you wonder what gets in the water sometimes.

Oh, _I_ am getting credit for that prank, Norm? You little devil you. ![Twisted Evil Twisted Evil](/media/smiley/images/icon_twisted.gif)
Hey Norm, I really dug the Mr. Gasser track. Do you have any more information on the band & album?

HeHe!
Mr. Gasser and the Weirdos was a studio group made to cash-in on the Ed Roth "Weird-Ohs" craze of the time. It's really Gary Usher with all the "wrecking crew' session people. Gary also did The Ghouls, another spooky session group. He's best known however for co-writing many of the early Beach Boys hits with Brian Wilson. Another one of his session groups The Superstocks is one of my favorites!

Wikipedia says Mr. Gasser WAS Roth. Confirm or deny?
After a big Pizza on Sun night, I was Mr. Gasser.

Yikes... overshare Jeff!
Whorehay, that's what the album says... "featuring Ed Roth as Mr. Gasser" and he gets song writing credits as well. However, I don't believe that's him singing. Never been able to confirm this but beware of misinformation on the web about it. Did Roth take the secret to the grave with him? I think so.
