Russ Volkmann posted this video of the Mach IV's "Il Eko Eleki" from the Phil Dirt Appreciation show at the Brookdale Lodge (near Santa Cruz, CA) in October 2005. The M4 was disbanded at that point, so Adrien Anthony filled in on drums (I don't know if he had ever heard the song before, but he did a fantastic job!). And hats of to Mel Waldorf for writing such a cool song.

trying to remember if I have been to the Brookdale Lodge 2 or 3 times.
That place is so cool.
besides DD, occasionally is there much surf shows going on there anymore?

We had played there in March 2009, opening for Robbie Allen and Nokie Edwards and the Shitones played the night before. But I would guess those was the last surf-oriented shows at the Brookdale, as the venue suffered fire damage over the summer.

bummer to hear about the fire damage at Brookdale, that place is sooo cool.
Ferenc, thanks for the Woodies clips.
that was so cool to see in person, considering that many of us never got to see the Woodies back in the 90's Rick is a monster.
God Damn that was loud.
