Yeah. We just need a post in the gear section about where to get a good one Seriously, I just want one of those black solid back sturdy ones I had in High School and College. I haven't run across one worth a darn since then...

Notice the replacement shaft available? If it's available that easily online from MF, not the kind of sturdiness I'm after

Those are Manhasset stands, the same brand as I've seen in every school music room I've ever visited. At least they sell parts for them. These days most things in that price range are considered disposable. BTW, you're welcome.
