These guys were a Gas Huffer side project that put out two 45s and a split with Satan's Pilgrims, and had a song on The Estrus Cocktail Companion. Pretty solid, fun rockin' frat-surf instro. Anyone else here dig them?
Here's a question - any of you past or present PNW'ers ever see them play live in this guise, or know if it was just a studio thing? The cover art on "Exotic"/"Twine Time" would seem to indicate the former as being the case. (Either that or Gas Huffer had a Hawaiian shirt night.)

I absolutely loved those guys. It's a cryin' shame they didn't release more material.Time Tunnel is great modern surf classic.Sorry I never saw them live.I ran into some guys at a Man Or Astro-Man ? show once who were also in a surf/instro band called The Del Lagunas. When I told them about the group at hand here, they were truly shocked, and very disappointed by the news. They were sure that their name was rather original.I hated breaking the news to them as they took it pretty hard. ![Suicide Suicide](/media/smiley/images/icon_suicide.gif)

I liked Gas Huffer, but wasn't familiar with their Del-Lagunas connection. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, they played some live shows and actually just did a reunion at a friends' wedding this past summer. It was especially great considering Tom Price (gtr player for the legendary U-men, Gas Huffer, Kings of Rock, and Del Lagunas, among others) very rarely plays due to MS. Great guitarist and a great guy. It's awesome that he ditches the cane and totally rocks out like the old days.

Thanks for the info, Ted - damn, I had no idea Tom Price had MS. That's too bad.
BTW if anyone's interested, there's a copy of "Exotic"/"Twine Time" on eBay right now with a Buy It Now price of $1.
