I am still considering this for live rehearsal recording...with either stereo mics or stereo line out of a sound mix board...

I was interested in one at one time too, but for $150 more I got a used Sony PCM D50- no mixer or effects, but infinitely better mics on it already. (It also has a great trainer/tempo reducer if that's a factor.)

The songs on our myspace were recording using one of these.
The quality isn't great cause we recorded it live and pretty much could only eq everything by where amps were located and where the unit itself was located.

Overall though, for a mini recorder the quality was way better than I expected.
