has anyone used the ZOOM HD16CD by samson??? if so; what did you think..
does it compare to the TASCAM 2400 NEO???
it doesnt say if it is plastic or metal chassis..
i have a very tight budget right now and i need something with at least 16 tracks and CD RW for under 800.00...

We recorded out last CD with it. It is Good Enough (TM). Metal chassis. Feels like real gear. The meter bridge is a lifesaver. The mic pres are nothing to get excited about. You also might want to check out the Zoom R16. That looks tasty. And it costs less.

yes i saw that... BUT, the R16; even without the CD burner only has half the features of the HD16CD.... it looks like an awesome gig bag recorder.. kinda like the BOSS BR600 8 channel
