Thanks Ferenc. Your sales commission is in the mail. We agreed that you would be paid exclusively in old Dirk Doom tapes, right?
And I have SIX copies.

The first thing that popped into mind is "A Fistful of Dollars" (or the sequel) until I got to the last coupla doo-dads. Another guess would be a Nancy/Frank Sinatra slant on something Beethoven.
These internet tests are fun.

"Beethoven Five-Oh!" by the Ventures on the "Wild Again" album is a real surfing style knockout drenched in plenty of reverb and echo. Plus it is 3 minutes and 51 seconds long.
The first time I ever heard it, I put my CD player on continuous play and listened to it repeatedly at high volume for almost 4 hours.
Talk about Surfing with Beethoven and the Ventures! What a match up, the world's greatest Classical composer and the world's greatest instrumental Rock band!
This may be the Ventures single best work ever, IMHO.
If anyone can name a better work by the Ventures, please do, I am all ears!

Okay, if you listen to the little break in my version of Mr. Moto, that's the song I'm tryin' to figure out the name of. It's kind of quiet so you have to listen carefully.
(I recorded it on my birthday last year and I'd been into the Old Ezra 101 so forgive the sloppiness)

Sounds like an excerpt from "The Barber of Seville" by Rossini...
that tune also appears in a very cool Bugs Bunny cartoon..."Rabbit of Seville"
"The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra is tuning up for 'The Barber of Seville' when the perennial rabbit hunt lands Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny on stage. Bugs takes over the opera at Elmer's expense. The raised curtain gives Bugs the chance to shave Elmer within an inch of his life to the opera's famous overture. Razor flying, Bugs hacks away at Fudd's face (which looks as if it "might have gone through a machine") covered with a frothy milkshake of shaving cream."

ps: very sweet version of 'Mr Moto" you got there!

I think you're right about it being Rossini.
My favorite Bugs Bunny cartoon is the one with "Ride of the Valkyries".
"Kill the wabbit, kill the WABBIT!"
Thanks for the kind comment about our version of Mr. Moto.
