Yup, it's cool.

Pricey, but cool. That must be a $1400 paint job on a $700 guitar, though. That's one of the long-discontinued Korean-made Gretsch Historic series.

Because of what little taste in and respect for the visual arts that I do have. I would rather set myself on fire than pay money for - or even look at - something that tacky.

Tacky can be cool. Just not that kind of tacky.

I phrased it a bit awkwardly - I have a little respect for the visual arts. Enough to not want this guitar for any purpose other than setting it on fire and then throwing it off a bridge, onto a garbage barge.

Whoa, wait a second, which one of my old guitars? Because without specifying which one, "half-price" can cover a pretty wide range.

I was insinuating that the tiki-gretsch may have come from your private collection, but this may have been lost in my morphese-to-English translation, haha. With the passionate consensus I've heard, I think I'll just forgo this purchase and save up for the 2009 Les Paul Log RI instead.
