Wow! First time I've been close to a computer in a week. I plan on sitting down tomorrow after we get back to Atlanta to really get into thanks and recounts and pix but I did have a really moving experience today that I wanted to share with all here. Karol and I finished up our whirlwind Disney marathon and I conned her into taking in some Eddie Katcher sightseeing.

We drove to Fullerton and located the Fullerton Museum. It is filled with great Fender memorabilia. In one of the rooms, with mostly Telecasters on exhibit, there in the corner of the room was a bench, a black Tele, and a small amp for anyone to pickup and play.

I sat down and the first thing to come to mind was "The Wind Beneath My Kilt" by the Penetrators. I knocked it out and could really feel the spirit and emotion.........I was moved. It sounded wonderful in that hallowed spot.

Will sign back in from Big A tomorrow

Reverbs to all from the Quality Inn, Hermosa Beach, CA

ed

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

J-P was working his ass off all weekend.

thanks for all the pics, and videos, and reviews.
keep them coming.

I will try to put together some sort of weekend review tonight.

Brian, thanks again for coming out for the event.
that really means a lot to me.
and thanks for moving this to the Gen discussion area.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Wow moondevil that is one beautiful axe. Orange my favorite color.

What an astonishing 3 days of surf in SoCal!!
The Surge and Verb-Tones were awesome!
Talked w/scores of cool people.
Jeff-I know that organizing stuff like this is such a pain in the ass but it was truly all worth it. Hopefully the world will see the light and this thing will turn into Woodstock! Or at least 'Reverb Oasis'!
At the Duo-Tones I briefly said 'Hello" to this familiar -looking guy and when i got home the lightbulb over my head went on , I realized 'Hey! That was SG101 Brian !!' Sorry, i woulda talked to ya longer and thanked you in person for this great
forum.

2010 will be ten years since the last Rendezvous Ballroom Reunion concert.
Maybe its time to commemorate this and combine with SG101 for something really big at a professional venue?

ooh,ooh...........i've got a better idea. we could call ourselves the 'SHOE-O-TONES', but only if we play as twosome.

Thanks for posting those excellent pictures, staredge.

I think I might be eligible to join the shoe-gazer's club as well.

Hadn't stepped onto a stage since the 3rd grade, and was so nervous I could do nothing but stand there like a statue and stare at my guitar neck.

I guess I need to work on my "stage presence" for next time, but I wouldn't have traded this awesome experience for anything.

All the participants that day were very inspiring, keep up the good work!

And yes, I hope this gets even bigger and better for next year.
