Jay Turser Mosrite Clones?

They are butter smooth! I like the bridge. I have one similar to that on my Gretsch 6120. I cant tell about the tuners, but they look cheap, but I just as well could be wrong. Real p-90 are cool. Are thoses real? I don't like the nut. and especialy the way the neck looks to be attached. If it goes for a few hundred dollars it might be a steal. But it says Made in China. Top

One of the guitarists in the Reducing Agents (in which I play bass) has one, and he used it almost exclusively for the better part of a year, and never once had an issue with it. My general experience is that Turser makes a pretty nice guitar in general. I'd say if you can get it for under about 200 or maybe even 250, jump on it! ~B~ Top

The neck is nothing like a Mosrite (but what is, except maybe a Fender A width?). Much bigger frets, too. Neck feels a little like a Japanese Jazzmaster. You'd think the licenced Bigsby would work fine, but I had tuning problems with mine. I tryed Big Bends Nut Sauce and a better quality spring replacement, but no luck. Also, Eastwood has basicly the exact same guitar but at least they got the flipped body style right. In my long quest for a cheap Mosrite copy, I tryed one of these, but it didn't stick around long. If you want a Mosrite but can't afford the real thing (few can!) then the Japanese Mosrite reproductions are the only ones that come close. Unfortunately, they are at least $1300. or more... You will get what you pay for with this Jay Turser. Top
