Posted on Jun 23 2009 01:21 PM I got to see Lionel Hampton a couple times in Hi. with a really young band, he was old but played a couple drum solos that were fantastic. In the video, you can really see Krupas influence on Dusty, IMO. At the pier in Huntington a few weeks ago, Dusty broke his kick drum head, after they finished my girl friends 10 yr. old went to Dusty and asked if he could have the broken head. Dusty said "Sure", Dug out the case, He and Rikki took the head off and then Dusty autographed it and took it and had Dave and Sam sign it too. Earlier, after we had played, the little guy was asking the usual, "Can we go now??". We stayed, and Dusty and Rikki made he and his older brothers day by spending time talking drums with them. What great people! Sorry, a little off topic, but a story I wanted to tell. — Rick Top

The Eddie influnece inside turn the rythm of the band to more SWING MOTOR... the acoustic jazz bass and the 40,s energy influnece are so wild and fast... yesterday we was in the garaje asking arround better KRUPA or BUDDY RICH...?? Danny, Jeff Utterback saw that last year and it was his inspiration for him and Dusty to do the Drum off. at the sg101 convention.
