One I use very frequently in the Atomic Mosquito recordings is snare on 1, the and of 2, and one on four. Quarter notes on the bass drum and 8ths on the ride, hi-hat or floor tom. Played with the right touch and feel it is a very powerful driving beat. I sometimes mix it up with a traditional surf beat within the same song.
