Isn't that you in the lab coat? I thought I saw the original picture of that somewhere
Ah!! Now I got it. Well, that's not quite right. I believe Duff's original drawing was based on a photo of Steve Soest of the Torquays, playing a gig in his sixties'-looking baby-blue jacket (maybe red?) which Duff extended into a lab coat. I actually took my photo after Duff did the t-shirt artwork - it was an homage. So, no, that's not me.

added to the weekend of events,
the Duotones, http://www.pjmoto.com/specialty/duo_tones.php
Paul Johnson and Gil Ore, will be playing at Don the Beachcomber on Sun. Evening. 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Don The Beachcomber http://www.donthebeachcomber.com/directions.html
(used to be Kona) is a cool tiki bar.
its in Sunset Beach, about 7 miles North of the HB pier.
some of us went there last year after the HB pier show, on Sunday.
well, I figured its a great place to meet up at after the day,
and what better way to wind down from a weekend of High energy Electric Surf, than a Nice mellow Acoustic set from the Masters of the art form.
in a intimate setting like Don The Beachcomber tiki bar.
1 Zombie please.
hope all of you can include this show in your weekend plans.

well I figured that having the Duotones would be even cooler than just hanging out.
not that there is anything wrong with that.
Paul said he is really stoked to be able to play the Duotones music for anybody that might be coming from outta state and or who has never seen them.

working on thurs nite show.
and possibly a event sat night with slacktone and a showing of the
"sound of the Surf" film.
who'd be interested in that?
Not to add to your already heavy load (thanks again for doing all this!!!!!), but any movement here or did you decide not to???

Windmill,
I believe that would be our member Fuzzmeister, as I think he does a live 365 show, as well as his podcasts.
thanks for that Fuzzmeister sir.
and thanks for saying you heard it.

Will,
if i really wanted to, I could have made this happen, but some people said it was just too much.
So for Thursday, I am just going to arrange for a meet and Greet either at a cool place, or at my house in Anaheim, will post about that soon.
as for Sat. and Slacktone, Dusty and Sam are going to be outta town
with Agent Orange and DD respectively. so that kinda killed that.
I did notice that Tsunami Blue posted that they are playing in Oceanside
on Sat Aug 1st.
that is about 1 hour south of where the convention will be.
if anybody wants to make the trek down there.
I think I will be going.
and if you didn't notice
I added the Duotones, Paul Johnson, and Gil Ore at the Don the Beachcomber in Sunset Beach on sun evening, form 6:30 to 8:30pm
that will be a great way to wind down from the weekend.
