I just can't get this guitar riff out of my head, and it's driving me crazy!

I'm almost certain I nicked it from some surf/garage recording, but searching my record collection has been without results.

Finally I made a quick recording of it and uploaded it as "Grand Teft Surfguitar" on my Myspace site.

Could you guys please help me identify this riff?

It's song number four on my Myspace profile.
You can get there by simply clicking the "www" box below.

Thank you!

It does sound familiar. There's a certain resemblance to the opening of the Flamin' Groovies' Shake, Some Action, but somehow I don't think that's it. Ah, well.

The chord sequence is pretty much Iggy Pop's 'The Passenger' if you play it in the timing of that song.

Youth and enthusiasm are no match for age and treachery.

also kinda similar to goo goo muck.

Thanks to everybody who listened and to those who replied Smile

I have now removed the track from my Myspace profile and decided to use the guitar riff in my new song.

It's gonna be awesome!

...and now it's finished!

I made a demo of it and uploaded it on my Myspace.

It will be featured on my next album "Wet Sounds"
(Another bad joke title - can't get enough of those:)
together with 11 new instrumental surf originals.
The material is 90% complete and ready for recording,
so it looks like I'll have a busy summer...

Stay surf!
