I've been poking around forums to muster up some attention for this amp.
I'll post some pics in the coming days

I am selling this amp on the behalf of a close friend. I have played this amp on numerous occasions and the tone is that of to die for.

You can pm me for more pics. Notice the second picture. All amps 1964 and before have "Fender Electric Instruments". After Leo Fender sold the company to CBS in 1965 all amps had "Fender Musical Instruments" under the name of the amp. I've checked the serial numbers for the amp and it was built early in 1964 and sold in 1964.

It has changed hands a few times, but it came to Canada from the US in the late eighties from my understanding. When the owner bought the amp, someone had removed the original tolex and put a finnish on the wood. It was retolexed about a year ago. There are three replacement speakers and 1 original gender speaker. It's as we speak, being serviced and most likley will have the caps and for sure the tubes replaced for the buyer.

This looks like a good candidate for mods, I am pretty sure the grill and logo are not correct for the year, I have the same model, according to the Fender amp filed guide there were black face cosmetics in 63.

How much do they want for it?

Tom

Yeah the logo was retrofitted a few years ago. He preffered the old Logo over the silver one. The seller is looking for 1300 US. I'm pretty sure the grill is original and just aged. The pic isn't the greatest quality. I will post new ones.

Does vintage stuff more expensive in Canada? I was considering selling my 64 Concert a while ago, and after doing a little research I figured I could get $900 at the most. I would love to get $1300! Please keep us posted!

Thanks
Tom

THe NEpTuNeS

It sure does!! I haven't had many offers on it, but the seller is firm. Unless you buy Stateside, Pre CBS stuff is like gold up here. I've been to all the amp shops in Toronto and area and you rarely find anything older than 1970.
