tonetti Joined: Aug 20, 2008 Posts: 654 California	Posted on May 21 2009 10:38 AM I ended up building my fuzzrite using close up pictures I compiled, some off of the web, and some I got from people with original Germanium fuzzrites. There are a few different variations of the Germanium Fuzzrite. I chose the one I had the better pictures of. I used all NOS ceramic disc caps, and NOS carbon comp resistors, and the original RCA transistors. I have heard stories of the fuzzrite schematics to be inaccurate, but I think that there were so many different variations, I beleive the schematics available to be correct for the versions they were drawn up for. Where did you get this info from? The germanium version was made in a very small quantity (150 or 250 pedals, if I remember the Ed Sanner interview correctly) and for a very short time. I don't think there were different versions of that one, it wasn't around long enough. There were several versions of the silicon Fuzzrite, but not because of design "improvements" but rather due to the fact that after the Ventures endorsement went belly-up, Semie was constantly in financial trouble and slapping together Fuzzrites out of any available parts in order to finance building more guitars.
