I just play short scale basses and have three of them. A Squier Musicmaster Vista Series, an old Antoria Twincaster hollowbody totaly rebuild and a vintage Yamaha SB-1c. I'm waiting for a Fender Mustang CIJ right now. I also sold a Longhorn bass few days ago.
I use to have a hollowbody Yamaha SA-70 but it was stolen from my house When I lost that Yamaha I bought an Eko Cobra (short scale too) and now its own by my brother Hernan.

I totaly agree. The Musicmaster is my prefered bass to play surf music. To play other kind of music using my fingers intead a pic I like the hollowbody.
The attack of the Vista Tone pickup is amazing, you can manage the way you want the output level very well. About the size and weight of the Musicmaster it is great, the only bad thing about the Vista Series it´s the balance.

I enjoy my Jag but not necessarily for its short scale. To tell the truth, I hardly notice the transition between the Jag and the Strat (in terms of scale length -- all other obvious differences aside).
Yes, cool Ampeg -- I sometimes wish I hadn't sold mine but in a tiny house, ya gotta make choices.
