Sure, everyone's heard Johnny Vatos on all the Oingo Boingo hits, but something interesting (especially to me) is his work on the modern Battlestar Gallactica.
The rest of the Jetpack line-up includes redheaded bombshell Jennifer Anderson who is a professional sax player and has classical guitar training. She will be playing both guitar and sax, so expect some Eliminators to appear in the live sets. On bass is Doug Osbourne of rockabilly band Little Mo & the Unholy4 who views Jetpack as a chance to play his electric and leave the double bass home. Maybe I can coax him to bring that out too sometime.
As before, yours truly will be playing various Fenders and the Rickenbacker 360/12.

Very cool,
I really like alot of Boingo's stuff, and Johnny's drumming.
I recall that he was in a band called the Closet Surfers for awhile.
but when I saw them once, he wasn't there.

Yep, he was with them for a while. He loves surf and is a fan of Los Straightjackets, but seeing that they don't need another drummer, I have him! Hope everyone can come out on the 9th!

I mixed a band called "Food for Feet" that Johnny played in about 1990. Really great player, and a great guy, he used to let my kid bang on his kit at sound check.
