Sound City-Concord?
i know its not exactly a "real" surf rock amp, in fact sound city didnt even start making amps until the very late 60's(i think), but it still sounds good.
i believe it's been compared to a fender twin reverb, it shares with it the fact that it's a 2x12 combo, and it doesn't have a real heavy overdrive, as compared to a fender bassman, for example.

They were designed by Daves Reeves when he was working for Dallas Arbiter. Dave left DA to start the Hiwatt company when he felt Sound City amps weren't made to a high enough standard. Having played through several back in those days I can see his point.
Here's a link to more of the story.
