Wow, check this out....The new axe even has the VW emblem on the volume and tone knobs!
I wonder how much reverb you get from the glove compartment of a 2007 New Beetle....

Ooooooo, man, that ROCKS!!
Although I remain "un-inked," I'll admit that the VW emblem and the Ramones eagle logo are the only two things I've ever seriously considered getting tattooed onto my body....

Apparently Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap will be featured in the ad campaign for this product combo.

I heard that Slash also did a comercial for them, and there are stacks of VW beetles, instead of marshal stacks that he's plugged into.
I don't know about the newer VW's but there was always something odd about driving a car with no water in it. and the fact that is was missing some cylnders
I'll stick to Domestic vehicles thank you,
there's no replacement for displacement.

I've seen the Slash commercial, and it is pretty damn cool -- I was a little confused having not heard of the promo yet, so I wondered what people would be selling where Slash was playing guitar in front of a couple of transport trucks. Soon I realized it was "amp stacks" and saw the option for the input jack on the cars...
Tiki, you just don't trust a car w/o water because without water, you'd be out of a job!!!

Too true Bill, please Keep that nice Nor Cal water coming down our way.
back to the VW thread.
I had many friends in High schol that had VW's, alot fo them caught on fire, either Electrical or Carburator reasons.
One friend said, But dude, VW"s are made to be so easy to work on,
I said yeah because you HAVE to work on them all the time.
You couldn't pay me to drive a old VW. I saw a guy that was all mangled up from getting in a bad accident in one, the thing pinched his legs really bad whn it crumpled up like a tin can when he got hit head on.

Well, the same argument could be used against motorcycles. The problem is NOT the small cars. It's the big ones. This would be a much better world without all those earth-raping SUV's infesting our highways.
My VW routinely gets 53 miles to the gallon. I'm keepin' it!!

Greg,
well first off I'm not a SUV person, but I do love muscle cars.
and as for VW's yeah I suppose they are kinda good.
I'll take 2 and strap them to my feet and use them as roller skates.
because at 6 ft 4in, and 260lbs. its not really a practicle car for me,
unless I took out the front seets like High tower in Police academy.

Muscle cars are okay by me because they don't block the view of traffic lights and thus slow city traffic down to a gridlocked crawl, which is the #1 problem here in the ATL.
Anyway, I'm 6'3" and I can climb in and out of a VW Beetle ('67 or '07) wearing a ten-gallon hat without dislodging it from my head. Contrast this with the Cadillac Escalade that I test-fit at the Auto Show, which had a ceiling so low I'd need to be shaved bald in order to drive it without my head touching the dome light. Maybe that's why Tony Soprano drives one of those things, hah hah.
Anyway, I'm just dying to try one of those VW guitars plugged into a dashboard....<sigh>.....

I am always happy to see VWs in old Leroy Grannis photos. They just belong there at the beach. I used to drive my stock 72 beetle right on the beach in Germany and Denmark. It never cought fire and I can still move my legs, too. But Iâm not overweight, either.

I hate to take a big dump in your Cheerios, but these guitars are the same First Acts that they sell in Wal-Mart. I work in a Volkswagen dealership and we have one. They ask $550 for it, and that's with a "custom" engraved plate on the back of the headstock with the dealer's name on it. As for VW's, at least the late 90's/early 00's ones, you can keep 'em all.

Well I love those VW inlays but the knobs...
They seem kinda cheap to me.

I saw one of the VW guitars sell on eBay the other day for well over $600. There's another one posted right now, listed at $850.
So these are the same axes they sell at Wal-Mart for around a hundred bucks? (Minus all the cool inlays and stuff, of course...)
