Which amp or modeler you use at home for private practicing at low volume level?

Could be the TECH21 TM10 a ggod one?

Obviously for a clean reverberated sound!

Never surrender in finding a surfcaster

I use a Champ but check out this Vox, coming this summer.

I have a Kustom Dart complete with white roll pleat exterior and a Vox DA-5. The Kustom sounds better clean than the Vox, but the Vox modeling can make some really obnoxious noises if your so inclined.

Vox DA5 over by the computer or a Tone King Imperial over by the stereo.

I use a Ampeg Super Reverb 1x12 - for practice in the house.

Enjoy every minute

I have a Champ 600 that I just got. Played it Saturday with sleeping kids across the hall and a cranky wife downstairs. Nobody noticed.

I also have a Tascam guitar trainer that I use. Love the ability to slow things down. That plays through headphones, although I could line out it to the amp. I can use it as a headphone amp as well. Don't need to have a CD going.

I don't want to call it a practice amp because it is a nice sounding amp and I play it because I want that tone. I use a Danelectro case amp when I feel the need to plug in.

I've been "thinning my herd" the past couple of years and have sold all the small amps I used to practice with.

Now I use a recently acquired Deluxe Reverb reissue for practicing guitar, and a Mesa Scout for bass.

Fortunately I don't have any neighbors close by.

Found this used and cheap in the late 70's.

Zak,

My first guitar teacher when I was a kid had a Supro amp like yours. Good sounding amp with nice tremelo.

Most of the time, I'm plugged into a Pod 2.0 which runs into the line-in jack of my MacBook. I use a little freeware app called "LineIn" (from www.rogueamoeba.com) to route the line-in to the headphones out and thence either into a set of Altec Lansing speakers with a subwoofer or a pair of Behringer HPX2000 headphones. Occasionally, I'll fire up GarageBand and fart around with the various amp modeling and reverb plug-ins.

My "practice" aka studio amp is a pull from a 1960 Wollensak 1500 reel-to-reel tape recorder. Hastily built enclosure to minimize hazard. If there ever was a baby Showman this is it. Nine watts of the sweetest, warmest tone I could ever want. Cranked - no distortion, it just shakes my closed-back 15" cab.

I use a Traynor YCV80Q (4 x 10"). Not exactly compact, but it's smallest amp I own.

I play unplugged.

Usually i dont play the mosrite for my quiet plaing in the house, any guitar i feel like playing into a
small harmony or vibro champ, or blues Jr with my backup BF reverb unit.
ive been thinking about bringing the showman upstairs to play quietly but i know it would get out of hand too quick. I have been blessed with a girlfriend that works at dawn and goes to bed around 9 or 10 and i get off work at 8 and stay up till 2. No rocking out for me most of the time.

99 % of the time I use a Reverend Goblin 5/15 in the 5 watt mode.
Occasionally I pull out my '63 Deluxe, which is an amazing amp, but
at 20 watts can be a bit loud as far as my neighbors are concerned.
I also have a Fender Blues Jr, and a Marshall 20 watt combo that
are decent amps, but are merely collecting dust.

As far as your question on the Tech 21 combo, I have no experience
with them , but I have a Tech 21 PSA-1 Sans-Amp rack mount preamp.
When I bought it in the 90's, digital modelling was in its' infancy, and
Tech 21's Sans-Amp products were considered by many to be the
best tube-emulation products on the market. Mine is very warm
sounding, and extremely versatile. Many of the tones are pretty good.
Some absolutely suck. But none of them really nail the tube amp tone
of the amps that they are trying to emulate. I had to forget the presets,
and just tweek the controls to get my own best settings. I think Tech 21
produces quality products, but I would suggest getting a real tube amp.

I run the headphone or line out of my Crate Powerblock, it does a fine job. I usually run the line out into my multitrack and have an old stereo as a monitor.

At home, I use a Champion 600 with the tank and sometimes a Vox Pathfinder 15 with a Watkins Copicat. For travel, I use the Danelectro Amp In Bag with a Danelectro Spring King or with the BLT Slap Echo.
