Of course you couldn't get shots like that with a Brownie, maybe an SLR if you really knew what you were doing. Has to be digital these days.
I love the irony of that statement in contrast to pretty much every post in the gear section. Not saying it's right or wrong, just saying.
Hey that was my quote. At this point using film would be like using a typewriter to write a paper. Before digital cameras I spent more time in the darkroom than shooting pictures and it's more like alchemy with all the temperature controls and chemicals. Toxic! Then, you don't find out until later if you were successful.

Stupid computers; I wouldn't have made that mistake if I was using an IBM Selectric.

The starkness of black and white certainly adds intensity, especially to the third and fourth pics with everyone focusing on the work.
