Vox bass. Yeah!

(defunct) Thee Jaguar Sharks

Plus! Other stuff not surf: https://soundcloud.com/jamesmileshq
Enjoy every minute

Crazy headstock - looks like a dorsal fin or a sail. Agreed - nice pictures.

Is that one of those Voxes with the built in fuzz? Groovy.

Cool Yeah it does have built in Fuzz. The headstock kinda looks like the end of a butter knife, Ha. Zak have Dennis take some more pics.

Fun shots! Is this the vintage studio you were talking about a while back?

I'm surpirsed no one has asked what gear the photos were taken with. Film or digital? (read tube or solid state) If it wasn't taken with a Brownie it's not real photography! Ha Ha.

Just the other day I was listening to Smirnoff Conspiracy and remembered you were going to be recording sometime around now. Sign me up for an advance purchase of the album. Will there be a Western Canadian tour to go along with that record?

By the way, who did the voices at the end of Smirnoff Conspiracy?

I wondered about that too at first. Of course you couldn't get shots like that with a Brownie, maybe an SLR if you really knew what you were doing. Has to be digital these days. I've spent many hours in the darkroom and I know there is no way Denis could have made so many nice prints in such a short time. The exposures seem perfect on every shot. I have a bunch of Brownies if anybody wants one, one is even still in the box with an ancient roll of film.

The pictures were taken with a Pentax K10D, with most of the shots done with the kit lens, except a few with a prime 50mm. All shots were in raw format. I'm a photo noob, so shooting in raw format and be able to fix the exposition later is a big plus.

Oh, and the major reason that most are in black'n'white is that I'm kinda color-blind. I see colors, but I suck with subtle difference in color shades. I don't have this problem in BW.

Well, the B'nWs worked out very nicely to your advantage Smile '
It gives it a very Authentic 'Atmosphere' Format ......

Cool I really dig this picture. The focus on the Microphone, Paulie chillin' in the background w/that sweet Bass. Looks like a cool photo for Paulie's next solo record.

Well, you didn't hear it from me, but I've heard that Paul wants to send this picture as his promo shot for a Yanni / Kenny G gig in the near future.

Shocked Gasp! Jesus Christ Monkey balls....Yanni?, Kenny G? Looks like Paulie needs to make a life changing decision and ditch his buddies to go work wher the real talent is. No offense BTW Laughing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmHiUjr_iMg

I love the irony of that statement in contrast to pretty much every post in the gear section. Not saying it's right or wrong, just saying.
