Surf maestros:
I'm an amateur guitar player, but a big fan of surf music. I run a website about spies and secret agent fiction, and over the last month have been featuring surf versions of theme songs. Today, I capped off the month-long look at spy surf with an interview with Tom Pervanje, guitarist of Spy-Fi, and thought you all might be interested in giving it a read:

In addition, I've been posting some of my favorite versions of spy themes from both classic and current surf bands:

For the most part, these come from albums that I own and love, but a few in my latest posting come from emailed submissions, or MP3s that I found on music blogs. I'd like to present more information about two of the bands whose songs I present, the Kaos Killers, and the Dynamic Subarashi. I suspect that the former shares members with the Hellbenders and the 3D Invisibles, but am not completely sure. Can any of you provide more information?
One last thing. My site has a tablature section where I try my hardest to tab out some of the old 60s spy themes. Like I said, I'm an amateur, and so they probably aren't perfect, but might be helpful for someone thinking of starting a spy surf band. I'm also very open to corrections, or submissions from others:

Thanks so much for this website. I've been a lurker for a long time now and have learned quite a bit from you all!
