We have 5 new songs on our myspace. They are from our album to be released later this year. Let me know what you think for better or for worse! We hope we made pleasing sounds for everybody even if it doesn't really follow a traditional surf writing style.

Also, we kept one live track on there, so don't think that is going on the album.

I really liked 2 thru 5 if my opinion means anything.
Hope you'll offer a t-shirt/cd combo offer for SG 101ers (discounted of course)

Your opinion only matters if you like songs 1-6. Sorry!
But honestly, thanks. I hope we will have a t-shirt and CD combo available for all to purchase come time for the album to come out.

Jake, I really like Last Stand of the Mercenary. Great melody! Unfortunately, that's the only one that is available to me at work for some reason. I'll listen to the rest of the tunes tonight.

Beat me to it. I figured I'd call my first song that.

Doubtful, I don't think Mike, who wrote the song, ever listened to the Madeira. Not very much surf influence on the album.
Ryan, myspace has been buggy with our songs. They didn't work well last night, cutting songs off in the middle. It is better now though... kind of...

Hmm. Middle eastern vibe to parts of it, maybe. My first thought when I heard it was that it had a Madeira quality to it, although having listened to it again I can't pick out exactly why. Good song though. When does the album drop???

I really dig The 'Verb stuff. It's interesting song writing, which is something that means a lot to me. I also really like the guitar interplay. The melodies are solid. The dynamics are solid.
The only criticism I have is that there may be a little too much trem picking. I like that the progressions of the songs are complex, but I think that constant drilling may work against that sometimes.
Great work. I like the horns, too! Looking forward to the album.

vinyl?
Almost definitely not. Just too pricey and we probably won't play out enough to be able to support having vinyl pressed.

I like it!!
I think it's cool that you guys seem to have consistently good recording quality.
I also admire that you have your own style...there's variety in the music but it all sounds like "the Verb".
