Permalink Oldies band clothes?

New Topic

Hi!

Just found this site and it seems awesome!

I'm playing some surf music myself (or at least tries too!) and instrumental music has been a favorite since I was a little kid. So this is heaven for me.

I've got a question about clothes. I guess there aren't any clothes available from old bands (except The Ventures, but their store seems down unfortunately). Does anyone knows if it is allright to create your own design using old band names such as "The Super Stocks"/"The Lively Ones"/The Surfaris" etc.

Here in Sweden not many knows of surf music and it would be a great opportunity to spread the knowledge by wearing clothes representing it.

I hope to have a nice stay here!

regards, Lars

If you can't find a shirt already made, you could design your own and purchase it through www.cafepress.com or use a local t-shirt printer.

It's probably ok to create your own design as long as you don't mass market the shirt.

That would seem to be the case, even if you made a couple of them up for your family or whatever.

That was the only way I could get the cover art from Led Zeppelin I onto a white sweatshirt. (a local service in some shopping mall booth.) Actually, I edited it to show no lettering, just the B&W graphic.

I'm not a complete idiot. Some parts are missing.
