Folks,
Searched the archives to see if this has been covered before but no joy. Do those of you in bands have business cards, if so let's see 'em.

As an alternative to business cards I use plectrums I have made with my name; phone number and internet details on them. I play in several bands so they are just my personal details, but I may get some different ones made for different bands sometime. I hand them out to people interested in booking the band or to people interested in guitar lessons. The big advantage with these is that I always have them with me whereas I'm somewhat crap at remembering to carry business cards. I have also mastered the art of scratching the last digit off in my pocket before giving one to people I know I don't want to teach http://www.myspace.com/thepashuns Youth and enthusiasm are no match for age and treachery. |

Over the last years I've got probably at least 30 business cards from bands. —Jeff(bigtikidude) |

Surfgitar, Your logo makes it very hard to mistake the type of music you play -I like that. I also like its simplicity - not too busy and contains only THE most important info. Anyway, reason I'm asking to see others bizness cards is I'm trying to get ideas for my bands cards. Here are some of the things I've thought about including - not all of them of course! lol Band Logo |

Saying why you have the business cards might be a good idea. Do you have it to be entertainment for corporate events, marathons, cake walks. For professional instruction. Or is it to play proper club gigs. If it is to get gigs then you shouldn't print up a business card. Make a one sheet and demo CD/Video if possible and then e-mail the booking agent, or run down to the club to give it to them in person. |

TRCat - For us it was all about driving people to our website. We don't want to field frivilous phone calls and have moot discussions on why we don't want to play at their wedding. So this provides a level of insulation while still providing contact data. During gigs, alot of people ask for a cards and then e-mail us. — |
