Nope. No band. No plans to join one. Ever. I just play to hear the noise of my own playing, like people who only sing in the shower. I don't even use an amp, just a Line 6 Pocket Pod and a pair of headphones. Maybe sometimes I'll hook in a Yamaha PSR400 as a poor man's drum machine. It's kind of a meditation technique for me. —I'm not a complete idiot. Some parts are missing. |

I like that, planish. I use to be down at all the folks that buy an instrument at Guitar Center and just play to their computer. It just seemed so unsocial but I like hearing that its meditation for you. —"Hello Girls!" |

OK-OK, I'll join in on this one as well: Founding member (lead guitar) of the X-Rays 1997 The Surge! (lead guitarist to present) The Atlanta Four (long time Atlanta area "wedding band". About six or so years back I replaced Chet Atkins' nephew Jimmy Atkins, (who played guitar with the band from it's beginning in the mid-50's). Obviously, our "styles", (and I basically have NO style), have nothing in common. But I am good at faking it. The Broken Spokes (Bakersfield country meets Surf) current Lead guitar after long-time guitarist Steven moved to Arizona, or some place like that. Part time amp hack and generally annoying old man. ed —Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps? |

I play(ed) bass for the Exotics and the Nelsonics. I play rhythm guitar for Transistor Royale and am the lead vocalist and play rhythm guitar (when the tune calls for it) for the Uptown Savages. I also do fill in work on bass for the Bikini Beachcombers (hapa haole) and The Riverwesterners (old school honky tonk). —The Exotics 1994-Current |

I'm gettin' my chops together and "The Blue Surf Quartet" will live again! It's been about seven years since we last played together and I know we've all improved a lot in the mean time. I am 'way psyched. Check out the basement tapes from yesteryear: http://www.pemburnia.com/bluesurf/ (Phil Dirt thought at least some of our stuff was pretty cool) -- Woody —It takes a lot of mussel memory to avoid clams. |
