To borrow a phrase from Chuck Hughes, "I hate music, it ruined my life."
Bands are overrated, no one should play in them.
music ruined my life, but sure, it would be worse without it !!

Time for a 2009 update:
I play Dano Longhorn Bass in the Surf/Rockabilly/Garage combo, The Twang Tens from South San Francisco, CA who are now out playing live. I play Martin Acoustic Bass with acoustic jazz artist, The Bruce Barley Combo from San Jose, CA who perform at upscale events and locations. I play bass in various Blues jams and the acoustic Folk scene in the San Jose/South Bay Area, CA.I also play guitar but don't advertise it because I prefer to play bass in groups. That's quite enough, thank you. Other musical history can be found on my MySpace page. Check it out and make friends! ...and the rest of you know I've been an active Surf fan forever! Is it 2009 already? See you in the scene! -bIGwAvE Dave |

Depends what you call "A Band". If I can only entice a drummer to sit in with us, then the Fin-Dicators will practice and play gigs.
What day is Surf Rock's birthday? Looks like Surf Rock and I was born the same year. Maybe we are both Libras? |

I play lead and rhythm guitar in The TakeOffs from Hawaii. I also write, play bass, drums & keyboards on some of our studio recordings. We've been performing weekly at The Sheraton Kauai Resort for 3 and 1/2 years! The TakeOffs |

Rattlesnake, too bad, I moved out of New York (not by far) but still.. too far to drive to jam. Would have liked to find some one to play with. |

Our band played our first gig this month. I play bass, Cathode Rey and Johnny Kahunna (aka SurfinJohnnyQ) trade off lead and rhythm guitars. We don't have a drummer but our Surf 101 set list is easy enough for the house band drummer to sit in. It was a blast! Rey even got asked to join another band that night. We wish we started this 30 years ago when we were younger. —Looking for some jazz and a little libations - js |
