Im going to try changing the tubes in my stock reissue reverb tank to see if I can get it sounding better (more reverb, etc.) Never touched a tube before. From what I gather you just pull out the old one and pop in the new one. So Ive been reading lots of threads here and it looks like I should get some NOS tubes. Especially try the 6V6 -> 6K6 swap. Im having trouble finding 6K6s. Ive looked at thetubestore.com, vacuumtubes.net, tubedepot.com, deepsurpluss.com, tubemonger.com, and anything else that pops up in google.
Based on recommendations here I was looking for
6K6 from GE or RCA
12AT7 from GE, Mullard, or JAN Phillips
12AX7 from GE or Mullard
Cant find the 6K6s anywhere.
For 12AT7s the tubestore.com has a JAN Phillips 12AT7WC and an Electro-Harmonix 12AT7WC-EH. Presumably either of these would be OK? The Mullard 12AT7WA/CV4024 is there as well but double the price (~$40).
For the 12AX7, thetubestore has a Mullard so thats probably OK. Nothing from GE.
Do you folks have any suggestions for where to find a 6K6 for a tank? Thanks!

rca's and sylvania 6K6's are usually on ebay as well. I like the rca's better.

Thanks. I've been a little hesitant to buy something from Ebay that is supposedly new but really could be old and such. But if there's a recommended seller I could easily go that way.
