Luther Perkins was a known Jazzmaster player. Also, 1959 predates the Jaguar by a few years. Check this video that appears to be from the same show. |

Luther became good pals with Leo after he moved out to hollywood with Johnny in 58. Leo kept him supplied with the latest Fender gear which included a jazzmaster in 59 and a jag and reverb tank in 62. |
