I've always been kinda miffed about this.
to me it sounds like a lot of Keyboard music, with tid bits of DD glissandos thrown in here and there.

Apparently the song is a cover of some classical piece. A comment on the youtube vid says "The Carnival of the Animals that's covered here is The Aquarium. "
I agree it's a kinda weird keyboard tune w/ DD guitar splattered on it.

it's a very 1980s synth-surf version of Camille Saint-Saens

The current soundtrack to the ride no longer contains any Dick Dale. It is more of a Mission Impossible style that works well for the ride. I was thinking thought that it would be cool if they put Joe Satriani's "Surfing with the Alien" on that ride?!?!
