Check out Jet Harris playing "Diamonds" in '64 with a detuned Jag! (Also a song called "Big Bad Bass.")

Then Jet and Tony Meehan mime (singing) to "Hully Gully", followed by Jet miming (on a Bass VI) to the amazingly awesomely moody "Man From Nowhere":

And finally, a bit more miming by Jet on a Bass VI - this time to the fabulous "Man with the Golden Arm":

Very cool Ivan, I had also come across those Troubadours videos while viewing the others. With the Troubadours do you play out of your AC30, Fiesta Red Strat and Korg echo?

Hey Ryan! Well, I went through quite a bit of gear in the five years of the Troubadours. I almost always used my '87 black '62 reissue Strat (my fiesta red Strat still had the 2-post trem and the Texas Specials during that time, and didn't sound as good). My dad got a black Tele, so we decided to make the black guitars (with pearloid guards) the Troubadours' look, and even got a matching P-bass. Just to be a bit different, since all the Shadows tribute bands always do fiesta red. So, then the Madeira did the matching fiesta red. Always confound the expectations!
As far as the amps, I used a pretty nice Bedrock Vox-inspired-copy for a year or two, then after some modification my Cossack-era blonde/fawn '92 Vox (I swapped out the original Celestion Greens with Weber's copy of the Celestion Blues). I had a tough time with making that amp sound good for the Shadows, though it sounds pretty good now (my dad has it currently). Finally, in '04 I got the 2000 AC30 with Celestion Blues, and that's an amazing sounding amp.
As far as the echoes, I never used my Korg for the Shadows, that was always just for surf. In the beginning I used the Zoom 508 pedal with Sounds like the Shadows patches that I just sold to Warren last week. Then around '03 I got a Zoom RFX-2000 rack unit, programmed by Echoes from the Past, and that's the best sounding unit I've got, but a pain, being in a rack. In '04 I got a Yamaha Magicstomp programmed by Echoes from the Past, just to have something portable. That's a great sounding unit, too.
There you go! Hopefully there'll be some more Troubadours footage on YouTube soon....
