Italian Heavy Metal Singer Stabs Guitarist For 'Fluffing' Riff, Faces Attempted Murder Charges - Dec. 10, 2008
According to The Guestlist and various Italian media reports, 19-year-old Italian heavy metal singer Cristina Balzano (pictured below) has been arrested for stabbing the guitarist in her band SOUL CRY after he fluffed a guitar riff.
Balzano allegedly stabbed the 16-year-old guitarist for hitting the wrong notes during a rehearsal session after accusing him of "playing badly."
Balzano has now been charged by Genovese police for attempted murder.

Zak, Ryan: You are both so misguided. It is singers who need to be stabbed. In fact, I am all in favor of seppuku (extra points if a mic stand is sharpened and used for this purpose). I am proud to say that my band is 100% singer-free. But if it wasn't, I am sure I would be sorely tempted to take matters into my own hands!

Somehow I think there might be more to this than first meets the eye. Perhaps he criticized her outfit, too? Or maybe Zeus came to her in a vision and suggested that the sacrifice of a young guitarist would be especially welcome right about now, what with the solstice and all?
Wait - this just in: I hear the charges may be reduced to impersonating a maenad.

Damn...imagine the damage she could have done if she was turned loose in an American Guitar Center!! It would be the makings of a mass murder due to the dozens of 16 year olds fluffing riffs through horrible amps.

i had to make an appeareance here... i too sometimes felt like shanking Ben,abe, and John when we play. but the only thing in my hands is my guitar... which could be the reason the SINGER stabbed the guitar player....poor boy got shanked!
